Cuatro

So I know I'm behind, but my Internet hasn't been working, so I have an excuse...:) So here goes:
Day 4: Your family

Basically my family rocks. They're pretty much my favorite। I'm the youngest of seven children (five boys, 2 girls including me), and I have 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law, four nephews and five nieces (cutest.kids.ever.!!). Everyone in my family is super talented at very different things, which can be daunting when you're the youngest and have 6 awesome older siblings that have set a pretty high bar. So here they are:

  1. My dad was a police officer for 27 years, and then he got a doctorate degree in political science, and then he spent a few years as a safety officer, and then he developed criminal justice programs for 2 online universities, and now he is working for an online university helping them build programs efficiently। He is pretty much the coolest person I know. He is super smart and we have bookshelves full of biographies and church histories and other history books that he has read, and he's always helping me figure out physics or whatever else I'm having difficulties with. It is also super fun to have deep philosophical discussions with him, becasue he knows everything. He is an excellent leader and an amazing father and he should pretty much be president of the world.
  2. My wonderful mother is a nurse, and has been for her whole career, though for the last 12ish years she's been a diabetic educator, which proved to be extremely helfpful when my brother was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago। Before that she spent most of her nursing career in the NICU (neonatal intesive care unit), in other words she worked with babies! And she rocked it. She is also super woman because she is balancing a full time job, going to school (to get her bachelor's), and taking care of her family, and she's amazing at all of it. Even though she's doing all that she still hast time to care about me and my problems. She has a super caring heart and is just all around awesome sauce.
  3. My oldest brother is an electrical engineer,he is crazy smart and just got his master's degree. He is also a crazy good artist and I am supremely envious of his mad drawing skills. He also plays the guitar beautifully and is an awesome father of 4 super cute kids, and a super cool big brother. I think he inherited all the nice genes, cause he is just super nice. He and his amazing wife live pretty far away so I don't see them that much, but it's super fun when I do get to!
  4. The next one is almost done with his PhD in post-colonial literature. He is also a mad genius, and he is an excellent writer, obviously. His poems are amazing. He, like the oldest one, is an awesome dad. He's got 2 adorable kids that are growing up to be just like him and their awesome mom. He also likes to skateboard and tried to teach me how but I can barely stand on one, so it didn't work out. He is also a black belt and could kick your butt!
  5. My sister has two bachelor's degrees, one in accounting and the other in nursing. She uses the nursing degree, and she is fabulous at it. My goal in life from the time I was about 4 was to become my sister. She is super smart and beautiful and amazing at everything she does, and she is supermom. She's got three beautiful little girls and an awesome husband. She also plays the piano beautifully and is really good at cooking and crafty things, which I will probably never be able to do :) She doesn't have a black belt, but she could kick your but anyways.
  6. My next brother is a nurse, and he rocks at it! He is an IV king. He also is awesome at the piano and guitar, and he can pretty much do anything he decides to learn how to do, and can swim farther than pretty much anyone I know. He keeps trying to get me to go running with him, but it doesn't work out because he can run for like 8 miles straight and I definitely cannot :)
  7. My next brother is bomb at computers. He's always helping me figure out mine because I am extremely deficient in technology know how. He's in school right now and in the meantime he's working at a music store, where he gets sweet discounts. He plays the ukulele, guitar, piano, and sings, and is pretty awesome sauce.
  8. Then my last brother is also in school, and I think he's going to major in digital art. He's super good at drawing and digital art stuffs. He also is quite good at the guitar and playing things on the piano by ear, and he is a writer. He is currently writing a book that is pretty awesome, and he's written some sweet poems and short stories that rock.

Phew, that was a lot. I have one of those big Mormon families :) But anywho, that's them, and I love them all dearly. They are basically awesome :)

Day 2: Meaning behind your blog name
Well, once upon a time, my brothers wanted me to play halo with them. They made me a soldier guy on it and named it Bonster, and the name has just stuck :)

Day 1: Introduction, recent picture of yourself, 15 interesting facts

Hi, my name is Bonster...sorta. I am in college and someday I'm going to be a nurse. I am also a Mormon, which is fun. Probably if you are reading this you already know me, so I don't think I really need to do an introduction. By the bye, this picture came from the time my friends and I took a bunch of pictures with a disposable camera. Unfortunately most of them didn't turn out because we forgot to turn on the flash and it was dark. When we went to get them developed the next morning my friend accidentally took a picture of the sidewalk. It was one of the 3 pictures that you can actually see. I thought it turned out kind of cool. Also those are my favorite shoes, because I like plaid.
OK, so here are 15 "interesting" facts about me:
1. I am the youngest of 7 children
2. I play the viola
3. I love dogs, they are pretty much my favorite ever
4. I love to read, my favorite novel is Jane Eyre. Yes, I am super excited for the new movie, hopefully they don't butcher it
5. I like school, so far my favorite classes have been Microbiology and British Literature
6. I love windy and rainy days
7. I love Thai food. Well, American Thai food anyway :)
8. This morning I woke up and got ready an hour early because my clock was an hour off
9. One time I hiked 15 miles, and I pretty much wanted to die
10. I love riding roller coasters. Everything about them is wonderful, except for that one moment right before it drops when you wonder "why on earth am I on this thing??"
11. I have the cutest nieces and nephews EVER
12. I love potatoes
13. Today the clouds look like mashed potatoes, which is making me hungry for some
14. I'm having a hard time finding things about myself that are interesting....
15. Dave Matthews ROCKS.

That is all.
Peace :)

Virtual Baby

So remember when you took a home-ec class in high school and you had to cart around a flour sack baby? Well since then I guess flour sack babys have evolved into virtual babys. Hence, for my parenting class, I have given birth to:

He's pretty cute. And awesome because I never have to change his diaper. He just sits there and looks cute while I make decisions about his life for him. It's pretty fantastic.
